I am currently creating visual projection and vj-ing with the production Paige In Full, written by Paige Hernandez and directed by Danielle Drakes.
ABOUT
theHegira’s Paige in Full is a visual mix-tape that blends poetry, dance and live music to tell the tale of a multicultural girl growing up in Baltimore, MD. The production explores how a young woman’s identity is shaped by her ethnicity and popular culture, telling a personal, yet universal, story through the lens of hip-hop. To create Paige in Full, sibling-duo Paige Hernandez (writer and performer) and Nick tha 1da (musician) worked with Danielle A. Drakes of theHegira (director) and Bryan Joseph Lee (dramaturg) to develop a story that speaks to a dynamic hip-hop influenced generation.
Paige in Full draws upon a range of creative disciplines including literary, musical and visual arts. The story unfolds on a backdrop of multimedia projections provided by Tewodross Melchishua. Paige in Full debuted at The Meade Theatre Lab/Flashpoint of the Cultural Development Corporation (DC); and at the Studio Theatre part of the 2010 Hip-Hop Theatre Festival. More information at The Hip-Hop Theatre Festival website, or the official Paige In Full website.

Quote of the day
All art is a kind of confession, more or less oblique. All artists, if they are to survive, are forced, at last, to tell the whole story; to vomit the anguish up.
